Editorial policy
How the facts on this site are found, checked and kept current.
Where facts come from
Rules, limits and dates come from the WA Government's own documents first: the draft Technical Bridging Standard, the consultation paper and the official FAQ. News reports are used for context, such as what happened in other countries, and are named as the source.
Estimates are labelled
Where a page gives my own reading of the process, or a rough estimate such as a payback period, it says so in the sentence. Example prices and savings show the numbers they are based on.
Draft rules are called draft rules
Until WA changes the law, every rule on this site is a draft. Pages say so, and they will be updated when the final standard is published.
Keeping pages current
Each guide shows the date its facts were last checked. Pages are reviewed when the government publishes anything new, and at least every three months.
Corrections
If something is wrong, tell me with a link to the source. Confirmed mistakes are fixed and the page's checked date is updated.
Ads, affiliate links and listings
The site shows Google AdSense ads, chosen by Google. Advertisers have no say over the content. There are no affiliate links or paid listings today. If any are added, they will be clearly marked, and they will never change what a page says about the rules or about whether a kit is compliant.
